She dances within the flame of your candles and she awakens your inner fire when you need it most. Her sacred animals are the serpent, bee, ram, ox, boar, rabbit, lamb, and cow. We really begin to see Brighid work her magick around the first of February, the midway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. The warmth of her fires begin to warm the belly of the Earth, slowly turning Cailleach’s winter reign into green and fertile works of art. As she walks along the land, snowdrops spring up at her feet. Creativity and fertility begin to bloom and influence us all as we observe her blessings upon the Earth.
