Then I was fertilized and grew wise;
From a word to a word I was led to a word,
From a work to a work I was led to a work.~ Odinn
Odinn~ Master of Ecstasy and the Dead~ Allfather ,the greatest and oldest of the Aesir, ruler of Asgard and Valhalla, he is the lloaked wander of the cosmos. Odinn’s thirst for knowledge and wisdom was so great that he sacrificed one of his eyes to drink from Mimir’s sacred well of knowledge to gain such power, this shifted his previous perceptions and gave him the greater sight. His journey for ancient knowledge continued, as he stabbed himself on his side with his own spear and hung himself for 9 sacred days on the branches of the great tree called Yggdrasil, for this shamanic death and rebirth he was granted the vision to create the Runes~
Odinn is often seen with his two Ravens who bring him information. Huginn (who represents thought) and Muninn (who represents desire) or as others think “memory” this is still debated~ As well as the wolves Geri and Freki. Odinn sees clearly what is and what is to come with amazing clarity~
Odinn evokes strength, courage, great wisdom, sovereignty, and power. He is both the weaver of Wyrd (fate) and Orlog (Primal Law)~ He ignites the fires of War and the passions of poetry. Odinn is well known for possessing magical qualities that are both male and female as he studied an ancient magical tradition known as Seidr, a practice usual meant for Women, Freyja being the first to have mastered Seidr is the one who taught him this sacred way.
Odinn presides over Valhalla, the majestic hall of the Dead. Odinn and the Valkyries choose the fallen warriors to bring back to Valhalla after each battle, the remaining go with Freyja to the meadows of Fólkvangr~
This Sacred oil is a tribute to the great God Odinn, made on his day...Wednesday, in his honor, to provide its wearer the qualities of courage, strength, wisdom, and magic! Blessed with Organic and Wildcrafted Essential oils and Botanicals of Ash, Oakmoss, Nagarmotha, Pine and Sandalwood. There are a few other secrets that must remain in Mimir’s well for safekeeping~ Graced with Bloodstone crystal~
I know that I hung on a windy tree
nine long nights,
wounded with a spear, dedicated to Odin,
myself to myself,
on that tree of which no man knows
from where its roots run.
No bread did they give me nor a drink from a horn,
downwards I peered;
I took up the runes, screaming I took them,
then I fell back from there~
