Rose Honey~ Organic Wildflower Honey~ Organic Wild Roses~ 1oz ~ Honey Magick~ Bee Magick ~ Bee Goddess~ Melissae ~ Limited Offering

Sold Out

When I add a spoon of honey to my tea, I give thanks to a dozen bees for the work of their whole lives. When my finger sweeps the final drop of sweetness from the jar, I know we've enjoyed the nectar from over a million flowers. This is what honey is: the souls of flowers, a food to please the gods. Honeyeaters know that to have a joyful heart one must live life like the bees, sipping the sweet nectar from each moment as it blooms. And Life, like the world of honey, has its enchantments and stings ~Ingrid Goff-Maidoff, "The Honey Sutras"

Honey has such a rich and sacred history, throughout the ages, literally every culture has touched on the magical awe-inspiring gifts of the Bees who create the nectar of the Gods. It is said, without them, the whole world would parish, for they are the life givers, the ancient ones who have grown the magical gardens of this Earth. Goddesses have governed them and adored them, temples have been erected in their honor, they are life givers in more ways that we can even comprehend. Their nectar is a Golden Sacred life force all on its own, one that Humans and Gods have worshiped before written words.

~This honey is meant to use for Ritual purposes, to savor and delight the senses on special occasions, coming in like a slow seduction to sweeten your mouth and your magical workings. This magical nectar of florals and honey was left to sit a brew together over 2 full moon cycles, this was a slow and seductive intertwining of both energies to create an exquisite pleasure for the senses.

Rose Honey is ideal of matters of the Heart, for Love, Self-Love, Grief and Healing. Rose is such a classic beauty, her love has been the muse for many poets and lovers. The magic she radiates is one that can be felt simply by just standing in her presence. She comforts and soothes, seduces and enchants.

Call upon your Rose honey when you need a little boost of the Heart. If you are feeling wary and in need of a warm embrace, let a teaspoon of this sweet nectar roll around on your tongue, filling your body with Love~

Birds of the Muses  "Bees have an ancient reputation as the bringers of order, and their hives served as models for organizing temples in many Mediterranean cultures.  Priestesses at Cybele's temples in Asia Minor, Greece, and Rome were called Melissai or Melissae, the Greek and Latin words for bees.  These Priestesses were often prophets or oracles who entered an ecstatic trance induced by preparations that included ingesting honey.  (The Greek word for this state of transfigured consciousness is enthusiasmos -- 'within is a god" -- the root of our word enthusiasm.)  Bees, familiars of the Goddess since Catal Huyuk, appear frequently in classical mythology.  They are called the "Birds of the Muses" and are attracted to the heavenly fragrances of flowers, from which they make the divine nectar, honey.  Honey is antibacterial, and its mildly laxative properties and sweet taste made it a primary ingredient in ancient medicines.  It was widely believed to be a source of divine nourishment.  In the myths of the ancient world, honey often nourished a divine child raised in secret by a Goddess in the depth of caves.
